Chasing Arrows
CHASING ARROWS is emerging amidst the generic sounds of contemporary rock and turning heads in the process. Formed in 2005, CHASING ARROWS originated from the Hampton Roads region of Virginia at Christopher Newport University. With A few lineup changes and three years under their belt, CHASING ARROWS has only begun to make some noise. MTV has valued CHASING ARROWS as a leading band in Virgina so much they were chosen out of thousands of bands from all over the country as a TOP 2 nominee for the MTV Woodie Award for Best Music on Campus 2008. In the summer of 2007, CHASING ARROWS won the MTV-U Best Music on Campus for the South East region of the U.S. and opened for the Billboard Chart topping artists PLAIN WHITE T'S (best known for their hit "Hey There Delilah") at Six Flags in Atlanta Georgia. The band was a hit with the crowd, and moved hundreds of demo CD's to wanting fans. Earlier year CHASING ARROWS released their self produced debut Album "Transparent." CHASING ARROWS most recently opened for Uh Huh Her at the NORVA in Norfolk, VA during their national tour. ----------------------PRESS---------------------- "These boys have nailed down the ability to write great songs and you can hear that throughout “Transparent” CD. I can’t express enough my belief that these guys are on a path to success. They have all the key personnel in place to make an impact on fans far and wide. " - Rockeyez.com - “Although the band is currently unsigned, it is only a matter of time until that changes. With the band’s growing notoriety and obvious potential, this won’t be the last of it.” Brittany Franklin A&E Writer The Daily Athenaeum - “This local band is all about national appeal.” DeAnne M. Bradley Staff Writer The Virginia Pilot
